Inauguration of Oil Spill Advisory - OOSA (Ver. 3.0)




INCOIS inaugurated its third version of online oil spill advisory at 21st NOSDCP meeting held at India International Centre, Delhi on 05.08.2016.Director General Rajendra Singh PTM,TM Chairman,NOSDCP,Indian Coast Guard launched the service.The system facilitates the indication of Eco sensitive zones,Potential Fishing zones, Fishing avoidance zone during the event of oil spill. It also incorporated the high resolution ocean currents of 9.25 km spatial resolution for the entire indian ocean, in spite existing 2.3 km grid spacing ocean currents in the west coast of india.
